Whole House Interior/Exterior Remodel + Two-Story Addition + Above-Garage Expansion
Located in the prestigious Newport Shores waterfront community known for its luxury and charm, this home underwent an extensive transformation without losing it’s original charm. To overcome the challenging soil conditions, we retrofitted the foundation with 43 pin piles reaching 55 feet deep.
The 330 sqft above garage expansion created a spacious and serene primary bathroom retreat. A separate two-story, 350 sqft addition at the back of the home added valuable living space on the main floor and a new bedroom and bathroom upstairs. By incorporating steel beams on the main floor, the once cramped kitchen became a true great room, perfect for entertaining and everyday living.
Every inch of the home was thoughtfully updated, inside and out. From brand-new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to a complete interior and exterior refresh, the result is a home that feels brand new while honoring the timeless character of its 1976 origins.

Garage Attic Transformed into Fully Equipped DADU with Private Septic System
The existing detached two-car garage featured an unfinished space of approximately 682 square feet above it. The homeowner sought to transform this area into a Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADU). The kitchen and bathroom were designed using Sockeye Homes/SkyDADU’s fixed-price package offerings, ensuring both efficiency and cost predictability. In addition to the kitchen and bathroom, the DADU includes a living room, bedroom, and outdoor living area.
To facilitate access, an interior staircase was constructed within the garage, and the existing exterior staircase was rebuilt. As the primary residence operates on a septic system, a new, dedicated septic system was installed to serve the DADU. What was once an unused attic space has now been successfully converted into a fully functional and self-contained dwelling unit.
