planning, permitting and constructing all the way to
completing to your satisfaction.
Facing a very
challenging
jobsite, Andy
(superintendent)
says:
"Nothing is impossible" construction experience.
|
Before:
This small area
was used as
both a family
room and a
dining room,
often posing
problems when
hosting guests.
Before:
The front entry
door opened into
the dining and
kitchen area,
creating an
uninviting
entrance for
guests.
After:
The new floor plan
provides for a separate
family room and dining
area. The custom art
alcove provides an elegant
focal point for the dining.
Before:
With a side entry,
a low-pitch hip
roof and minimal
parking, this
home lacked
curb appeal and
a defined entry.

|
After: By adding 400 sqft (which included a family room and bedroom) and remodeling 380 sqft of the existing dining area, a functional floor-plan was created that took advantage of the amazing Mt. Rainier and Puget Sound views . The new entry is inviting, both from the exterior as well as the interior.

|
|
|
After: By removing the home's entry door from the dining room and adding 3 high windows, a light and airy dining area was created. This provides a private eating area complete with custom wainscoating millwork detail and designer lighting.
|
|
|
|
After: The new family room includes a custom fireplace mantle with granite surround, a new energy-efficient gas fireplace and custom millwork that ties in with the existing home.
|
|
|
|
After: The built-in home theatre system includes speakers integrated into the ceiling and a smart-duct system to conceal the cables/wires. This allows viewers to focus on the movie screen instead of an unsightly mess of wires, cables and speakers.
|
|
|
|
After: By individually hand weaving each plank into the existing hardwood and then sanding/staining and refinishing the entire hardwood floor, the new addition seamlessly blends in with the existing space.
|
|
|
|
After: Attractive french doors open into the new bedroom. The ample closet space leaves plenty of room for this little princess's wardrobe.

|
Additions
After:
Moving the entry to the
front of the house and
adding a craftsman-style
gable roof, stone and
cedar accents provided
the defined and inviting
entrance.
